- Self-assessment:
Using Assessment D (Professional Dispositions Form), identify areas of strength and areas for improvement in each of the five professional dispositions:
- Professionalism: Strengths are honesty, reliability, and active participation; Areas for Improvement are consistent assessment and data collection and integration into my planning cycle.
- Communication: Strengths are listening skills, respect, feedback, effectiveness; Areas for Improvement are expanding communication to include families, school staff, and community.
- Collaboration: This is an overall strength and just needs to be maintained, not improved.

Using Assessment B (Evaluation of Student Teaching), identify areas of strength and areas for improvement in your fieldwork in each of the four CDF dimensions:
- Planning and Preparation: My identified strengths (areas of the CDF in which I have been evaluated as “Distinguished”) are knowledge of content & pedagogy, knowledge of students, setting instructional outcomes, demonstrating knowledge of resources, and designing coherent instruction; an area for improvement (element of the CDF in which I have been evaluated as “Proficient”) is designing student assessments.
- The Classroom Environment: Strengths are creating an environment of respect and rapport, establishing a culture of learning, and organizing the physical space; Areas for Improvement are: managing classroom procedures and managing student behavior.
